Welcome to the Speen Helping Hospices website

This website was created in November 2020 when we were unable to hold our annual Christmas Market due to Covid regulations. We revised our initial plans and started organising a Christmas market in a large marquee in Speen, but further restrictions were introduced so we created an online shop.

The Speen Helping Hospices site has now been developed to highlight our forthcoming events in detail and all our previous fundraising since 2001 in the Chiltern Villages.

Speen Helping Hospices (SHH) is a small voluntary group run by a team of committed women from Speen and North Dean in the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire to fundraise for four local hospices - Helen & Douglas House for Children - Rennie Grove and Peace Hospice Care - South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House - Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. Do you play Golf?

In March 2023 Speen Helping Hospices held a golf day at Burnham Beeches Golf Club We were presented with a Fourball voucher that has to be used by the end of 2024 - Monday to Friday.

It is worth approximately £340.00 This is now being raffled with the draw taking place on Saturday 20th April

Speen Helping Hospices are looking for people in the Chilterns to raise money for SHH by taking part in a local fun run/half marathon/cycle race or other event.

The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £159,384 since it was established in 2001.
