On the May Day Bank Holiday afternoon, Monday 1st May four young Speen residents set up shop selling homemade scones, cookies and apple juice and lemonade. An excellent enterprise from these young ladies who raised £53 for Speen Helping Hospices. It is so much appreciated by the Speen Helping Hospices Management Committee for the support from all ages in the community to help the much-needed funds for the hospices.
