To get you into the Christmas spirit we have organised a pub night for two of the local Chiltern Villages - Speen and North Dean. Come along for a glass or two of fizz, maybe wine or beer. All profits will go to the four hospices that SHH raises money for. Helen & Douglas House for Children - Rennie Grove and Peace Hospice Care - South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House - Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity by raising funds in local Chiltern Villages.

Message on Speen Sales and Wants WhatsApp Group Thursday 7 December 23 - the night before the Pop Up Pub Night - Thursdays Pub night ode....When poinsettias are red and snow is all white, Santa is coming to Village pub night, he'll be having a beer and catching his breath, before once again travelling the world and it's breadth, so if you've been naughty and not come along there'll be coal in your stocking you know I'm not wrong, but if you've been festive and joined us for drinks, Santa will smile let you know what he thinks, your tree will be bountiful beauteous and bright and your stocking full of wonderous delight, so come join the party and wassail with us all in that iconic building that is Speen Village Hall....Amanda Dobbs

Message on Speen Sales and Wants WhatsApp Group Wednesday 6 December 23 - Wednesday's Pub night Ode..... Some nights before Christmas when most were asleep, out from the shadows the village did creep. Around all the side roads and up Studridge Lane, the locals were walking to where it was plain.

With a spring in their step and with booze on their mind, they were off to the hall where they knew they could find, a fix for their thirst with alcohol there, the Speen Christmas Pub night had plenty to spare, to raise up a glass and chat with their mates while raising some cash for charitable donates. So here's to the Pub Night all cosy and warm the hangovers obligatory on that I will warn, just come for an hour, and spend all your cash coz Christmas is coming in what feels like a flash, and once it is over and all put away, you'll know you'll have helped others in some simple way....Amanda Dobbs

Message on Speen Sales and Wants WhatsApp Group Tuesday 5 December 23 - 16 nights before Christmas and there wasn't a sound, except from the pub night where the village was bound, there was music and laughing and drinking galore, and time spent with friends and neighbours and more, so come raise a glass and see what we we've done if your not there yourself you'll miss all the fun. So we'll see you from 7 you'll be met with a smile you'll be glugging down beer, Prosecco and wine and if you are good there's a snowball or two and mullied wine is on tap so enjoy have a few ... The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £140,325 since it was established in 2001.
