Outline Programme Plan For The SHH Golf Day (Please note this may be adjusted)

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY

From 08:15 = Registration and sale of Mulligans (see below)

From 08:30 = Coffee and bacon rolls (included in the price).

From 08:45 = Putting Competition starts (extra see below).

From 09:30 = Tee off (first tee only). 12 teams @ 8 minutes intervals.

Aprox. 10.00 = Putting Competition closes.

Aprox. 11.00 = Last team tee off.

Approx 14.00 = First team finish.

From 14:15 = Putting competition reopens.

At 15:00 = Putting competition closes.

From 15:15 = Soup and sandwiches available (included in the price).

Aprox. 15:30 = Last team finish.

Say 16:00 = Prize giving.

REGISTRATION

All players should register on arrival. Handicaps will be confirmed and cards handed over. At the same time £5 vouchers to be spent on concessions or extra competitions are available to purchase with credit / debit card or cash.

GOLF COMPETITIONS (prizes included)

1. 4 ball team best two stableford scores on each hole

2. Individual best stableford score

3. Putting Competition (for an extra £5 fee)

4. Beat the Pro on 3rd (for an extra £5 fee)

5. Nearest the Pin on 3rd (if you enter beat the Pro)

6. Nearest the pin in two on 15th

7. Best individual score on "I.F.A. Men Corner" (holes 7,8,9)

CONCESSIONS

SHH £5 Vouchers. Sold for £5 each or 5 for £20 payment by card or cash at the Registration desk.

MULLIGANS. Take the shot again voucher @ £5 each. Sold in the clubhouse with cash or SHH Voucher before the start of your round.

LEATHER WEDGE. Take the shot again voucher @ £5 each.Sold in the clubhouse with cash or SHH Voucher before the start of your round.

USE THE PRO's BALL. on the 3rd. If you played "Beat the Pro" pay another £5 with cash or SHH Voucher and you can place your ball where the Pro ended up on your Beat the Pro.

Visitors / Dress Code and Phone Use (Information suppied by Burnham Beeches Golf Club)

On the course & practice areas: All shirts must have a collar (golfing crew necks are permitted) and remain tucked in at all times. For gentlemen shirts with sleeves are required. Trousers or tailored knee length golf shorts must be worn. Beach or ‘Cargo’ style shorts with large external pockets are not acceptable. Denim Jeans, Combat or Jogging Style trousers are not permitted. When wearing shorts, socks must be either short white SPORTS socks or short SPORTS socks that are colour coordinated with the shorts. Trainers are not permitted.

In and around the clubhouse: Throughout the year the dress code in and around the Clubhouse is smart casual. (This includes smart denim jeans and trainers.) Hats or caps should not be worn and footwear should be worn at all times. If gentlemen choose not to wear socks in or around the Clubhouse then their shoes must cover their feet i.e. not open toe sandals or flip flops. Clean, dry golf clothing is acceptable but golf footwear should not be worn in the main lounge or dining room, apart from the carpet path leading from the patio to the spike bar.

Mobile phones: Mobile phones may be left switched on in the Clubhouse (on silent) for internet/text purposes. Any telephone calls to/from your phone can only be answered/made in the entrance foyer, or in the car park area. Using phones for making/answering telephone calls is not permitted elsewhere in the Clubhouse; on the patio and surrounding gardens, or out on the Course (except in emergencies).

The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £159,384 since it was established in 2001.
